Christopher E. Albright PE, CEM, LEED AP, CxA
Chris Albright and his firm, Smith & Boucher, a 50+-year-old Olathe, Kansas full-service engineering company, provide energy engineering services to PACE Sage Capital for its client borrowers. Chris and Smith & Boucher are very knowledgeable about PACE and IDEAL™ financing and are highly skilled at optimizing the PACE and IDEAL™ qualifying measures to support a PACE or IDEAL™ project.
Chris has served as lead mechanical engineer on hundreds of projects over the last 15 years and has extensive design, operations, commissioning and energy optimization experience. He has conducted energy audits on a wide variety of projects to include K-12, higher education and industrial plants.
Chris is a former Company Commander who led 128 soldiers of the U.S. Army-Kansas National Guard to Iraq as a part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, where they performed horizontal and vertical construction and a variety of combat operations. This experience brings a unique approach and significant added value to the team, as well as valuable organization and management skills.
Chris is also a highly qualified energy engineer who is certified in energy management. As part of his retro-commissioning and energy audit work, he has installed and utilized stand-alone data logging equipment as an analysis tool for energy consumption of mechanical and electrical equipment. Chris has significant experience in energy optimization and is a critical value-added resource for energy management systems and controls in the design and construction phase.
